Very kind personnel. Nice design of the room and the lobby, and very good breakfast. Centrally located. Nice sea view from the room. You enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of this hotel. For sure, you get much more than you expect for this price level.
Small, but renovated bath-room.

Convenient for walking to harbour.
A shabby hotel: very worn carpets on landings, hasn't been decorated for some time I would think. Parking not as advertised - simply a chair saving a space in the very narrow street outside the hotel- don't know where you would park if it was full! Continental breakfast was left out on each table, with some food left uncovered, awaiting your arrival - which could be an hour or more after it was first put out. Overall, a feeling of being run-down and not cared for.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the locaton was both near the bus station and port.
The hotel is getting old and needs an upgrade. The shower fitting had nowhere to hang it.

The best part about our stay at the Krystal Hotel was our visit to the beach ressort of Vai. Although obviously quite commercialised it was a lovely place to spend the day. The Palm trees that line the road and the beach are spectacular to say the least!
It is obviously the end of the season but the Hotel was in a very shabby rundown state with pieces of furniture lining the corridors. The room itself was ok but not somewhere you would want to spend alot of time; at least the bedding and bathroom were clean!!

Potential charm - needs significant investment
All the balcony rails that I could see were suffering from significant decay from rust. Some of the concrete was being split by expanding/rusting steel. Roads were very noisy - even for Crete!. This echoed due to narrow streets. We moved out after one night but were offered an alternative which proved very acceptable.

Courtesy of staff, value for money and proximity to downtown, being able to walk safely on foot without ever taking the car.

Very close to everything! 5 min walk from bus stop, 1 min walk to restaurants and shops. Very helpful staff and speaks english well. Actual hotel looks very dated and somewhat dilapidated, but rooms are great! They are nice and airy and more country seaside decor. Very hospitable staff w welcoming raki for your room!

very friendly staff, central location and good standard. Very good value for money
many small details in room & hotel need to be fixed (light, carpets, lift out of service during my stays,...)

Good location, close to the port and the bus station.
Bathroom smelling bad and the balcony was darty from the birds.

Excellent location and reasonably priced. Decent buffet breakfast. Tastefully decorated room but I understand not all rooms were upto the same standard. 4th floor harbour view.
Lower floors did not have as good an outlook. No other major complaints - usual greek plumbing in the bathroom !
